Lung Adenocarcinoma Patient with Lymph Node Metastasis Experienced Complete Resolution of Symptoms After 30 Days of Medication

February 23, 2026

Mr. Bai, a 40-year-old male patient with lung adenocarcinoma from Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, was treated at Jiaozuo Zhonghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology Hospital. In March 2023, Mr. Bai began to experience symptoms of cough, expectoration, and blood-tinged sputum. After three consecutive days, he underwent further examinations at a local hospital and was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma with cervical lymph node metastasis. At that time, the size of the right lung mass was approximately 9.3 × 8.3 cm.
Subsequently, Mr. Bai sought traditional Chinese medicine treatment locally. After taking Chinese herbal medicine for one month, he underwent a re-examination, which showed that the mass had increased in size compared with before, and the condition had progressed. At this point, the mass measured 10.4 × 9.2 × 8.9 cm (original size approximately 9.3 × 8.3 cm). On the recommendation of a well-known local doctor, Mr. Bai, holding hope for TCM, came to our hospital specially, hoping to relieve his illness through traditional Chinese medicine.
When he came to the hospital in a wheelchair: he had a severe cough with yellow sputum mixed with blood, felt a foreign body sensation in his throat, often experienced chest tightness and shortness of breath, and even fainted when coughing violently. His diet, bowel and bladder functions, and sleep were relatively normal. His consciousness was clear, but his mental state was very poor. He was diagnosed with central-type lung adenocarcinoma in the right lower lobe with multiple lymph node metastases. Observing his tongue, it was purple and dark, with a yellow, greasy, and thick coating; upon pulse diagnosis, the pulse was slippery and rapid. The disease was identified as “lung accumulation” and “lung cancer” in TCM terms, belonging to the syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis with heat-toxin accumulated in the lung.
After fully understanding the patient’s condition, Director Zhang of our hospital formulated a treatment plan: an empirical formula for lung tumors (adjusted according to symptoms) + Hua’ai Xiaoliu Powder (Anti-Cancer Tumor-Eliminating Powder), combined with the targeted drug ensartinib.
After taking 30 doses of Chinese herbal medicine, the therapeutic effect was remarkable. Mr. Bai’s severe cough, yellow sputum with blood had completely disappeared; the feelings of chest tightness, shortness of breath, and foreign body sensation in the throat were gone; even the critical situation of fainting due to severe coughing no longer occurred, and his mental state improved significantly.

Mr. Bai and his family persisted in and firmly believed in the therapeutic effect of our hospital, followed the doctor’s advice, and took Chinese herbal medicine intermittently for up to 120 doses. During the nearly two-year treatment period, he underwent re-examinations many times. It is gratifying that the patient’s overall condition has remained stable without obvious discomfort. Although the lung mass has remained at about 4 cm and no significant shrinkage has been observed, the patient has successfully achieved tumor-bearing survival, with his quality of life guaranteed and his life prolonged.
