Left Buccal Cancer Patient: Tumor Mass Markedly Shrunk After 10 Days of Medication

July 18, 2026

Ms. Bai, a 70-year-old female patient with left buccal cancer from Nanyang City, Henan Province, was treated at Jiaozuo Zhonghai TCM Cancer Hospital. The 70-year-old once lived a plain and contented life in her later years. However, the cruelty of fate struck her eight years ago—she was diagnosed with gastric cardia cancer. At that time, with extraordinary perseverance, she underwent surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, fighting back from the jaws of death by sheer will.
She thought the hardships were all behind her, but more than two years ago, a tumor suddenly appeared on the left side of her oral cavity. After surgical resection at a local hospital, she was unexpectedly told it was a malignant tumor. What was even more distressing was that the postoperative incision became repeatedly inflamed, causing excruciating pain, and a tumor mass grew back quietly. Her anxious family took her to seek medical treatment everywhere and tried TCM for anti-inflammation, but with little effect. Until six days ago, a cold pathological report shattered the whole family’s hope completely—it was diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma of the mucosa (left buccal).
Faced with the result, Ms. Bai’s family was caught in a painful dilemma. Considering her advanced age and the agony she had endured from gastric cardia cancer surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, her body was already overwhelmed. The family simply could not bear to let her suffer the side effects of Western medical treatment again. In their despair, a renowned local physician recommended Jiaozuo Zhonghai TCM Cancer Hospital, telling them, "Perhaps TCM can give her another chance."
On April 29, 2025, accompanied by her family, Ms. Bai came to Jiaozuo Zhonghai TCM Cancer Hospital with her last glimmer of hope. She was attended by the experienced Director Zhang. He carefully inquired about her medical history, checked her pulse and tongue, and found that Ms. Bai had a thin white tongue coating and a deep thready pulse. Despite the painful tumor mass, her diet and sleep were normal, and her weight was maintained at around 50 kg. After TCM syndrome differentiation, Director Zhang concluded that her condition belonged to the pattern of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency, intermingled phlegm and blood stasis. The treatment needed to address both the symptoms and the root cause—not only soothe the liver and relieve stagnation, resolve phlegm and dissipate masses to alleviate symptoms, but also invigorate the spleen and replenish qi, promote blood circulation and detoxify to consolidate the body’s vital foundation.
Thus, Director Zhang formulated a tailor-made treatment plan for her: oral administration of an empirical TCM formula for left buccal tumors (modified according to her symptoms) combined with Hua’ai Xiaoliu Powder, along with inpatient treatment. Though Ms. Bai and her family were skeptical, they had no other choice at this moment and could only cooperate with the treatment firmly.

To everyone’s delight, only 10 days later, Ms. Bai noticed obvious changes—the tumor mass in her oral cavity began to shrink, and the pain was relieved! This glimmer of light filled the whole family with excitement. After another 20 days of continuous treatment, a miracle happened: a follow-up examination showed that the tumor mass in her oral cavity had completely disappeared, the pain was gone entirely, and she was in a radiant state of spirits, as if she had been reborn!
