Pancreatic Cancer Patient: Pain Relieved and Appetite Improved After 10 Days of Medication

August 21, 2026

“Doctor, my father is in so much pain that he can’t sleep at night. He can’t eat anything, and his legs are swollen and shiny… we really have no more options.”
In the midsummer heat of July, Mr. Hou from Shangqiu arrived at Jiaozuo Zhonghai TCM Cancer Hospital, supporting his 69-year-old father with a stack of medical records. His eyes were filled with exhaustion and hope.
Two years ago, Mr. Hou Senior was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after suffering from jaundice—yellowing of the face, eyes, and entire body. Since then, he had been on a long and arduous journey of treatment: biliary drainage, stent placement, surgical resection, and 16 rounds of chemotherapy. The elderly man endured every procedure with extraordinary willpower.
Yet misfortune followed misfortune. The cancer recurred and metastasized after surgery. Intraperitoneal perfusion, 6 sessions of immunotherapy, and the targeted drug lenvatinib all had to be stopped due to severe diarrhea.
Upon admission, a movable, soybean-sized lump had formed on his left clavicle, accompanied by constant pain requiring strong painkillers. Even more distressing, he suffered from severe abdominal distension after eating with no passage of gas, serious edema below the waist, and extreme weakness that left him unable to walk independently. He had also recently developed bloody stools. Blood tests revealed severe anemia, and hypoalbuminemia meant repeated albumin infusions.
“Watching my father wasting away from the pain breaks our hearts,” Mr. Hou said, his voice choking with emotion.
Director Zhang carefully reviewed the patient’s two-and-a-half-year medical history and found he had undergone nearly all mainstream modern cancer treatments and was now in a state of advanced cancer cachexia.
“TCM emphasizes strengthening healthy qi to eliminate pathogenic factors. At this stage, we must both resolve cancer toxins and protect the body’s vital energy.”
Tailoring a personalized plan for Mr. Hou Senior’s critical condition, Director Zhang prescribed:
  • A time-honored empirical formula for pancreatic tumors, modified according to his symptoms
  • Combined with the hospital’s special preparation, Hua’ai Xiaoliu Powder
  • An integrated approach of internal and external treatment, attacking pathogens while supporting healthy qi
After just 10 days of medication, Mr. Hou Senior was pleasantly surprised to find significant improvements:
  • The lump on his left clavicle softened and shrank noticeably
  • Pain was greatly relieved, and he no longer needed morphine
  • Abdominal distension eased, and normal bowel gas resumed
  • Lower extremity edema subsided substantially
  • Fatigue improved markedly
“Now I can get out of bed and walk slowly on my own. Phlegm comes up easily, my sleep is much better, and the bloody stools have stopped,” Mr. Hou Senior said with a long-lost smile. “For the first time in two months, I feel hungry and want to eat!”

Mr. Hou said emotionally, “We’ve been to so many hospitals, but we’ve never seen such dramatic changes. Traditional Chinese medicine is not slow-acting—it can truly turn the tide at a critical moment!”
