A 61-year-old female, Ms. Zhang from Mingshui County, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, was further examined in a local hospital for coughing up blood in early March 2023 and was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma. Without undergoing genetic testing or receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy, she only received traditional Chinese medicine treatment locally. However, after 9 months of traditional Chinese medicine treatment, her condition did not improve significantly.
At the suggestion of the local doctor, Ms. Zhang came to our hospital for further treatment. At the initial consultation, she reported chest, back, and left rib area pain. In addition, she had experienced intermittent dizziness and chest tightness for nearly two months. When coughing, she would expel yellow and white phlegm, occasionally mixed with blood. Although her appetite, excretion, and sleep were normal, the above symptoms undoubtedly seriously affected her quality of life.
