Clinical manifestations of gastric Lymphoma

August 16, 2023

The disease originates from submucosal lymphoid tissue and can be single or multiple. Mainly non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. There are four clinical types: mass type, ulcer type, infiltrative type and nodular polyp type.

X-ray examination, gastric air-barium double contrast radiography showed: 1 mass type, localized eminence in the stomach, wide base, small niches on the mass surface, thick mucosal wrinkle wall, sometimes bridge-shaped wrinkle wall; 2 ulcerative type, there are large niches in the cavity, irregular shape and different depth; 3 infiltrative type, gastric wall thickening, gastric cavity narrowing, mucous membrane thickening. (4) the nodular polyp type, the filling defect with multiple circular eminence of different size was seen in the cavity, and the edge was clear.

The characteristics of gastric lymphoma: multiple lesions, common superficial ulcers, extensive lesions, rough mucosa. Gastric peristalsis exists and there is no sign of obstruction. The X-ray signs were more severe than the clinical manifestations, and the lymph nodes were often enlarged.

CT examination showed gastric wall thickening, extensive or segmental, the average degree of thickening can reach 4~5cm, the important thing is that CT can show whether the perigastric and retroperitoneal lymph nodes are enlarged, which is helpful for clinical staging and treatment.
